About The Author
For most of my 20 year career, I have
worked as a therapist, coach and corporate consultant.
My expertise includes women’s issues, effective
communication, relationships and negotiating the workplace.
Two years ago, I left my busy Chicago practice for a
different type of life with my husband and children.
We headed to an island off the coast of Florida.
After relocating to live “the dream”,
I began to contemplate my years of experience as a therapist
and educator. I had always been intrigued by finding
different ways to impact patients and clients besides
traditional therapy and workshops. For the first time
in my career, I had the time to explore these issues.
I knew how difficult change was for individuals, even
when highly motivated. My goal became finding a way
to impact people who want to change, and making that
change as uncomplicated as possible. This is what I
have found:
- Most of us want to feel happier, less stressed,
more put together.
- We often feel so overwhelmed by our everyday lives
that abstract change, like “more happiness”,
seems too hard to even attempt.
- We create lasting change by learning new things,
practicing consistency, and obtaining encouragement
to keep us moving in the direction we want to go.
In response to these insights, as well as using my years
of clinical experience, I have developed Simply Put
Together. The philosophy of SPT is two-fold. First,
it simplifies the management or organizational side
of our lives. In essence, everything needed for day-to-day
planning is in one place. Second, it offers The 7 Steps
to Simplicity lifestyle changes over the course of a
year, which enrich the quality of life that we all seek.
I am currently working on a companion book, SPT- Journaling
with Intention. I also continue to practice as a consultant,
offering my services to individuals, groups and corporations. |
